
| When the 40ft 'Kittiwake' was launched in 1932, she became the first of the Silver Leaf class. With flared topsides and slightly over-hanging bow, she offered berthing accommodation for seven. There was a bath room equipped with a bath and an open stern cockpit, a little more luxury than a 36ft Silverette, but still cheaper than a Brown Owl. Many more Silver Leaf class boats would be built by Silvers in the following years. Silvers now had a range of five different class types available to prospective buyers.
